While some aspects of the bill are really not that bad, and probably would improve our health care system, I am opposed to the passage of this bill based solely on one issue, and that is end of life care. Sarah Palin referred to them as death panels, but in legal terms, HR 3200 calls it a "consensus organization". Read pages 431-432 on end of life care, and then jump forward to pages 620-633 which define what a consensus organization is and how "quality measurements" will be established. To me, this is the quintessential set up for a fascist style government takeover. This is precisely what the Nazis did to Jews when they did selected the "fit" and sent them to labor camps while sending the young, weak, and old to the gas chambers. Be afraid people, be very afraid!
