Hallstrom, you have refuted absolutely nothing and what you have is mere opinion.

Regarding the studies, they are an artificially created environment in a vain attempt to isolate a few variables from the thousands operative. Those same kind of studies somehow produced Vioxx and other dangerous drugs.

There are neither rational nor ethical reasons to deny Acupuncture coverage and some rather good clinical reasons why its inclusion is a necessity. It is presumed that we all have the same goal, the reduction of health care costs and improvement of our overall health care system from its current sorry state, which, in the words of our President, is "unsustainable" at current rates of growth. The medicine of pain suppression and the elaborate Politico-Pharmaceutical-Industrial complex which has grown to support it, is no longer a viable solution to our country's health care needs, neither now nor in any feasible projection.
