this is getting silly.
You are ignoring several important facts, one is that the authors of Trick Or Treatment admit to the efficacy and success in clinical trials of Acupuncture for pain. if you read Ernst's Critical Analysis you will see as much just in the Abstract. I heard the two authors on NPR when the book came out last year, and they admitted as much.
Their major problems are with other CAM therapies.
What of the Langevin study? Not strong enough for you? Or did you just ignore it.
On massage - masking your mistake does not mean it is not a mistake. You brought up swedish as an independent modality of massage, and that is simply not founded in fact. Swedish is based on tui na strokes, Shia tsu is based on acupuncture theory and channels. These are the two major modalities of massage in this country.
