Bob,
Many of us are doing exactly as you are doing. People have lost their jobs and their homes. Those of us like you and me who are fortunate enough to have a job need to help out the less fortunate.
I urge everyone with means in this economic recession to extend your generosity and compassion to those horse owners who are devastated mentally and economically to help them out. This can be accomplished by taking their horses temporarily until the economy improves so that those who lost jobs find work or by buying hay/alfalfa, pellets etc until our fellow Americans get back on their feet.
More examples of missing qualities in this great country: generosity and compassion as evidenced by Bob's statement above.
If you are sincere in your interest to help your fellow horse owner, you don't project the responsibility onto others.
