By the USDA statistics, 90.2% of the horses going to slaughter are young and sound. There is absolutely NO excuse to continue this brutal and horrific treatment to our horses. If the foreigners want to slaughter horses for human consumption, they can breed and slaughter their own horses.
America was built on people who took pride in personal responsibility and accountability. These personal traits need to return to all aspects of American society including horse ownership.
Those who would disown ethics and morals just so they can earn millions of dollars through lobby efforts to support horse slaughter based upon deceit and LIES need to seek other employment. We don't want lobbyists telling our government what to do. BY the people, FOR the people and OF the people
