Let's not forget the PRIVACY factor, folks!
I know I'm not the only one who is troubled by a system where some federal worker in Atlanta or wherever opens my tax return and can see how much I earn and where and how much I invest annually. It is NONE of the federal government's business.
Pass the Fair Tax and that intrusion ends. We'd just have to report our annual earnings to the Social Security Administration for the purpose of SS accounting. (We may be able to opt out of that.)
