Most of you saying vote NO do not even have a grasp of what the FairTax is. Your uninformed opinion is of no value to the discussion. The FairTax eliminates FEDERAL income, payroll,medicare,alternitive minimum,death tax,and corporate taxes in exchange for a one-time tax at the retail register for new-only goods and services(used goods are not taxed). There is also a monthly rebate paid in advance to every legal family to cover the taxes paid up to the poverty level. The intrusive IRS goes away along with record keeping and filing returns AND no more fear of being audited. And those who do not file taxes now will be paying the FairTax with each new purchase. It currently has more co-sponsors than any other tax bill. I suggest going to the fairtax.org web site to get the correct information.
