We can expect yet another round of bickerfest over this bill, OR go for a 2/3 solution and get on with our individual and national lives. 2/3 solution? Yes. Adjust the bill to make it (oh manna from heaven) 'revenue neutral'. The gross results numbers ($1100 savings per family in exchange for $390 increase in debt per family) imply that reducing the per family benefit to $710 should reduce the associated debt increase to $0.00 Ta-daaa! Everyone gets something for nothing!!! Behold the 'magic' of primary school arithmetic in combination with common sense. Cynical Prediction: The 2/3 solution will never see the light of day, let alone be adopted - too simple and logical, and absolutely no 'fun' for the 'thumb-in-your-eye' pols on Capitol Hill.
