I am retired and live on SS and my savings from 43 years of hard work. I have already paid taxes on my savings, from which I now withdraw 42% of my annual income. If this act passes, I will pay another 23% on this money when I use it for living expenses. I can barely afford my living expense now, so an additional 23% tax on them terrifies me.
