Apparently there are discussions of long term extensions between Majority Leader Reid and the Republican Minority Leader. The article talks about a $100 Billion dollar bill(apart from the jobs bill that just passed) that would at least:

A) Extend the deadline from Feb 28th into March so that current extensions(Tiers 1-4)don't run out on people. But if you read the article carefully, it also mentions of more costly measures referring to additional weeks added ie; Tier 5,although they are not calling it that. But again these are just talks,nothing concrete at all.

Also you know that Reid is up to something when he stripped unemployment extensions from the Senate version of the Jobs Bill @ $15 Billion in comparison with the House Bill well over $100 Billion with Unemployment Extensions in place, but no Tier 5. For Reid to strip extensions from the jobs bill doesn't make any sense unless he plans to do something bigger.
