This week, the House will debate H.R. 2061, the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act of 2013.

The bill, introduced by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), would make information on federal spending more available, accessible, and transparent by requiring the Treasury Department to establish common standards for financial data provided by all government agencies.

Passage of H.R. 2061 would cost a little under $3.50 per U.S. family.
