On the Blog: The Last Spending Update

When Congress returns to Washington the second week of September, it will have very little time to make spending decisions before the new fiscal year begins on October 1st.

What does that mean? Basically, you’re being shut out of the process.

Read about it in a post entitled: “Your Last FY 2014 Spending Update.”

Featured Item

Congress continues its summer break.

The most visited bill on WashingtonWatch.com last week was H.R. 543, the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2013.

The bill would provide the same presumption of qualification for benefits relating to certain diseases for veterans of the Viet Nam war who served offshore as for those who served onshore. The bill has nearly 3,000 comments and more than 800 votes.
