On the Blog: Repealing Obamacare

This week, the House of Representatives will debate a bill to repeal Obamacare. Again.

It’s for show, but it’s not all for show. Read about it in a post entitled: “Obamacare Repeal, Take Three.”

Featured Items

This week, the House will debate H.R. 45, a bill to repeal Obamacare.

The bill would repeal both Public Law 111-148, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and relevant parts of Public Law 111-152, the Reconciliation Act of 2010.

There is no cost or savings estimate yet for H.R. 45.

The Senate will debate S. 601, the Water Resources Development Act of 2013.

The bill would authorize various water projects for mitigating storm damage, restoring ecosystems, and reducing erosion on inland and intracoastal waterways. It would establish grant programs to assist local and state governments with levee safety and rehabilitation programs. And it would provide loans or loan guarantees to state and local governments for water infrastructure projects.

Passage of S. 601 would cost about $50 per U.S. family.
