Featured Item

The House and Senate do not meet this week.

Last week, both houses passed identical versions of H.R. 933, the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2013.

The bill spends money on the operations of the federal government from the end of this month through the end of the fiscal year September 30th. Its passage averts a government shut-down that would have occurred at the end of the month.

H.R. 933 will spend about $12,600 per U.S. family.
