While “fiscal cliff” negotiations continue, little of substance happens in the House and Senate. Last week, the House passed H.R. 6429, the STEM Jobs Act of 2012.
The bill would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act intending to promote innovation, investment, and research in the United States, and it would eliminate the diversity immigrant program.
There is no cost estimate for H.R. 6429 yet.
H.R. 6429 The STEM Jobs Act of 2012 Saves $15.06 per family
