The House and Senate have adjourned until after the election.
Last week, the Senate debated and passed H.J. Res. 117, the Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2013. The bill will continue government spending at roughly the same levels for the first six months of the 2013 fiscal year, which begins October 1st.
Almost certain to be signed by the president, H.J. Res. 117 will spend a little over $12,000 per U.S. family.
