On the Blog: New Laws
With Congress continuing its spring break, we took a look at the most recent new laws in a blog post entitled: “The Week’s New Laws.”

Featured Item
Congress continues its two-week recess.
One of the new laws signed last week is Public Law 112-105, the STOCK Act. That stands for “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge.”
The law amends ethics laws, and it requires Congress to implement an electronic financial disclosure system that is open to the public. It is meant to make clear that Members of Congress, staff, and federal employees may not use nonpublic information for personal financial benefit.
Implementing Public Law 112-105 will cost about $0.27 per U.S. family.
