This week, the Senate will debate S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012. The bill would authorize fiscal 2012 spending for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy. It would also prescribe military personnel strengths for the year.

No cost estimate for S. 1867 is yet available.

The House will debate some regulatory reform bills, including H.R. 527 and H.R. 3010.
