This week, the House will debate S. 894, the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2011. The bill would increase compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and dependency and indemnity compensation for the survivors of certain disabled veterans.
House leadership sees S. 894 as non-controversial, so will fast-track it under a procedure called “Suspension of the Rules.” Passage of the bill will spend about $150 per U.S. family.
