Will We Get a Look at a Bill to Increase the Debt Limit?
S. 1341 is a shot across the bow, warning of a debt-limit increase moving through Congress in the dark of night. The bill provides for a point of order against consideration of any measure that would increase the statutory limit on the public debt above $14.294 trillion unless that measure has been publicly available for a full seven calendar days before consideration on the floor of the Senate.
That means the Senate couldn’t move a bill that we haven’t had access to for seven full days. Transparency, baby!
