Thad Cochran (R-MS): Appropriators Gone Wild

Maybe this is why Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) wasn’t too eager to put his earmark disclosures out in a useful form—so uneager that he was tops in our earmark disclosure hall of shame.

Cochran made 637 earmark requests. Six hundred thirty-seven. That’s one senator, making more earmark requests than many entire states’ delegations.

Take a look and decide for yourself what you think of them. It isn’t wasteful spending just because it’s an earmark. But it might be.

This an e-mail I sent to Senator Mitch McConnell. I thought you might be interested in it because your name is in the e-mail as well. I plan to contribute to your campaign as I will to his.

Senator Mitch McConnell:

I want to thank you for your absolutely poor incompetent leadership in the Senate when you let Senator Thad Cochran be one of the leaders of earmarks (pork). Finally a Republican has come in first. What a great honor that you and Thad should be very proud.

You are the reason that the Republican Party is failing. Your leadership is the same o same o. You are in capable of understanding what the people of the Republican Party want in its leadership. You have been in Washington way to long. It time for you to sit down. I am going to help you achieve that by contributing to you opponent in the next election even it is a democratic.

You screwed us when the Republicans were in power and you are screwing us when we are out of power. At least the democrats will be upfront about destroying our country. You are doing it behind our back.

Yes, you are right leadership is to lead not to sit on your hands to bad you do not understand it
