Our Database of Over 25,000 Earmark Requests
We continue to make tremendous strides with our earmark hunting effort. Transparency heroes from across the country have now put an astounding 25,000 earmarks in the database.
On our earmarks homepage, you can review earmark requests by state and by member of Congress or senator.
Using our earmarks entry form, you can put the earmark requests of your local representative or any other into the database. (Please read the instructions carefully.)
We’ll soon have the earmark requests of every member of Congress and senator, and the data will be available to journalists, bloggers, and researchers. Thanks to the work of ordinary Americans, we’re going to know more about the earmarks ecosystem, and federal spending overall.
There are less than 150 members of Congress and senators to go, and a few states still haven’t gotten quite the attention they should, such as New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. So let’s hear from you!
The competition is intense in our earmark hunting contest. The most recent update is here – we’ll have a new update later today.
