Bailout Funds – It’s My Turn Now
WashingtonWatch.com has never been profitable. Maybe someday it will be, but there aren’t enough of you yet. And also, it’s not profitable because of the downturn in the economy.
Why do I say that? Because the Washington Post is reporting that the Obama administration plans to give bailout funds to millions of small businesses.
The Obama administration is developing an initiative to take money from the $700 billion program for the banking system and make it available to millions of small businesses, which officials say are essential to any economic recovery because they employ so many people, according to sources familiar with the plan. The new effort — which would represent a striking shift from the rescue program’s original mandate — would direct billions of bailout dollars toward a program that aims more at saving jobs than righting the financial system.
This thing has “WashingtonWatch.com Support Fund” written all over it! I knew I didn’t need to be a good manager to run this thing. Just wait around for a safety net and fall back into it. That’s job creation, right there!
This won’t be the first time that the bailout, which I referred to as a “slush fund” way back in December, gets used for new things. From the get-go, it was shifted to new and different priorities.
But this one I like. Where do I get in line for my piece of the action?

OK, we have all these votes on measures in the houses of congress & people are distinctly against them & politicians still pass them!WTF? Who is supposed to be in control here? If 90% of the population is against a proposal isn’t that the way politiciansare supposed to vote? I vote against govt intervention in all types of ‘local’involvement. Govt. is supposed to be limited in their involvement with state & local politics: So WTF is BHO doing? I think this whole system has gotten way out of line & it may be time for revolution. L. Barker

I am a physician and a cancer survivor. It is downright despicable that our congress is not listening to us when we say that we don’t want this kind of government-run overhaul of our healthcare system. It is such a power-grab and I truly think that BHO is trying to ruin our capitalistic nation, so that, he can then rebuild it in his socialistic/communistic way. His friends are Marxist professors and he told us to judge him by the people that surround him. It is all very scary. He tries to blame-shift and say that those opposed to this kind of reform are misinformed and are using scare tactics. No, Mr. President, you are scaring us because you are acting like a terrorist within the US with the things that you are trying to do to change this nation for the worse. The Canadian healthcare system is reportedly imploding and the English don’t like their healthcare system. Both of these systems are what Obama is trying to emulate with his plan. He wants to add 50 million more people to his gov. health ins. plan; but he is not adding anymore doctors is he? That in and of itself will cause rationning of care and with the cuts to Medicare, the elderly will suffer. We are already trillions in debt and he wants to add another 1.6 trillion to the deficit while all the time saying that he won’t sign a bill unless it is budget neutral. Right….you want us to believe another one of your lies? We don’t believe you, nor do we trust you. It is time for you already to become a lame duck president…seven months after your inaugeration. You are too dangerous for this country and we want it stopped. If you would do the will of the majority of people, we would be on your side; but you refuse to because we know your ultimate plan.

M. Gromely if u are a Dr. then I’m Jesus. You sound like a tea bagger in fact your comments seem to be lifted right out of their standard talking points. I got two questions for you. Who pays your healthcare? and Do you seriously believe that Insurance companies who profit from healthcare are looking out for your interests as ooppossed to their bottom line? President Obama is not your “enemy” your enemy is common sense instead of ignoring it embrace it.
