The percentages are far more meaningful if you know the total number of votes. And there is only one comment so far, I will expect mine to be largely influential ;-) and I say this - when my vote singly changes the balance to For or Against, I feel important. Don't take away my one vote that actually counts! And for those who whine, about a vote on whether math is an important lifeskill. What? If I have a strong feeling about a particular piece of legislation I will contact as many others who I know have like feelings and ask them to vote as well. Since this can sometimes be as many as fifty people, it is possible to cause a sharp swing in the percentages on some bills. I suppose I could be accused of trying to influence the outcome by my actions but I don't see that as wrong.
