Not a Typo: Energy Bill Would Cost $12,000 per U.S. Family
As I was updating the WashingtonWatch.com Twitter feed just now, I felt obligated to point out a non-typo: H.R. 2454, The American Clean Energy and Security Act would cost about $12,000 per U.S. family.
It’s being debated on the House floor right now.
(That doesn’t mean you should necessarily be for it or against. Just aware of it.)
Jim Delaney
This insidious energy bill passed the House this evening. 40 Dems voted with Republicans and 8 Republicans defected to the progressives. Tyranny is upon us, folks. The line has been crossed. Compelling “we the people” action may now be unavoidable to safeguard the Republic.

This bill is NOT about climate change–it’s about taking away from those that have more and giving to those that don’t. This country is going downhill really fast. I miss Pres. Bush!

We sent this to all Senators and Sheila Jackson Lee, DON’T VOTE TO RAISE MY ELECTRIC COST, WHICH WE CAN NOT EVEN AFFORD NOW. GAS PRICES WILL GO UP SO FAR WE WON’T BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO WORK , YOU HAVE SENT MORE OF OUR JOBS TO CHINA. WE NOW CONSIDER YOU A THE BIGGEST TRAITOR AND TERRORIST IN TEXAS. WE CAN ASSURE YOU WE WON’T VOTE FOR YOU EVER AGAIN, AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH TO OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY EVERYWHERE THAT YOU AND DEMOCRATS ARE NO LONGER CONSIDERED AMERICANS, BUT TRAITORS. AND FOLLOWERS OF THE DICTATOR, . WE ALL WILL MAKE THIS A NATIONAL EFFORT TO REPLACE ALL DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS WHO VOTE ” YES” TO CAP AND TRADE OR GOVT. RUN HEALTH CARE
Suzanne Gerard
Right! Run health care! And for those of you who write letters to politicians, Take a good look at your last statement from an insurance company or from Medicare, and see how much the bill is lowered because of the “deal” made between the insurer and the care provider. After you realize how much the poor uninsured guy pays for the service because of the deals made with insurers, write you elected officials and tell them you want a level playing field. NO MORE “LET’S MAKE A DEAL” MEDICAL CARE!

Change we can believe in, all right. I’m still holding my breath awaiting the positive effects of the $700 billion stimulus package.

I am overjoyed by the Obama administration. Such an inspiration, a shining star and guidepost to a future, one where my daughters will be taxed for the oxygen they breathe, the blood they give and the chia pet heads of our titular leader, the great, Saint Barack Hussein Obama, about whom they will read in textbooks. At this rate, it will be a very sordid, pathetically lugubrious, story they will read about a president who has spent more on failed economic bailouts than all previous administrations spent on every war ever fought.
