IN APRIL OF 1953 SHOT BADGER CHANGED MY LIFE. I DIDN’T KNOW UNTIL 20 YEARS LATER.SIX OUT OF MY SEVEN CHILDREN HAVE GENETIC PROBLEMS AND ONE DEATH AND CANCERS AND AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASES. THE MARINES CORPS SUPPLIED THE AMMO . MY CHILDREN ARE THE RESULTS OF THAT AMMO.HOW WOULD YOU NAY SAYERS JUSTIFY THAT? FRANK A. BUSHEY

It’s unbelievable that our Atomic Veterans were so recklessly exposed to radiation which has had grave cumulative effects on them and their families, and especially the genetic damage done to their offspring. It is imperative that Congress, the Courts, and the Executive Department take immediate action to help our veterans at this time.

Sincerely,
Jay Graham

Please help these military people. They helped us in our time of need. Don’t neglect them now.

How long will it take for the U.S. Government to present their Atomic Veterans with an Atomic Veterans Service Medal? If Canada can do it
for their Atomic Veterans, then, why can’t the United States do it for their Atomic Veterans?

Take care of these injured individuals & their ruined children, After all we sent them to war with these very dangerous war tools!!! our inventions ruined their kids!!!

In April 1953 in Nevada, I was less than 2 miles from Ground Zero of a planned 40 Kiloton A-Bomb (Test BADGER) which fizzled to 20 Kilotons, showering the 2000 Marines with me with radioactive particulate debris. The now unclassified DOD documents show that this was a test of “ionizing radiation”, i.e. to see how much radiation we could absorb & survive. We were never told about the dangers, nor issued protective masks or clothing. SHAME! Since then, I have survived prostate cancer prostatectomy, orchiectomy, service-connected (atomic) posterior subcapsular cataracts and multiple skin cancers. Private DNA testing shows abnormal repeats of DNA alleles. The USA has never tested us nor explained why we have a 20% increase in Prostate cancer over non-nuked cohorts…& why the VA says that’s just “chance”! Wake up! Help us!

Cost Estimates for More of This Week’s Bills - The WashingtonWatch.com Blog

My father pulled prisoners 10 days after bomb dropped in Nagasaki. I have MS, Lupus, an autoimmune kidney disease, born with an extra ureter, and fused vertebrae in my neck. Where’s my help?

William J. Fish

Know one really knows, what it is like to be in an atomic explosion,
until they participate in one. This is an event you will never forget. For a moment, picture yourself entrenched 4000 yards from ground zero, waiting for a 23 kilton atomic bomb to explode from a 300 ft tower. The count down begins at 10,9,8 to 0, then a very bright flash appears, brighter than
a zillion flash bulbs. The flash was so bright you could see the bones in your hands and the bones in the body of the person neiling next to you, just as though you were going through a full body x-ray, in reality, this is what took place. Needless to say, After the atomic bomb exploded the desert trees in the surrounding hills were burning like roman candles.
The air had a smell of burning metal. There is an old saying that
“Seeing is believing” however, I say being their on-site is reality.
Lets face it, the Atomic Veterans were used as guiana pigs to see how we would preform in a atomic bomb explosion. Well, all I can say is, we did our part, now it’s up to our government to take care of the Atomic Veterans and their famlies who are still suffering.
How long must we wait? It’s been over 56 years since “Shot Badger”.

Semper Fi,
William J. Fish
NAAV Commander for IL.

It does not seem like 57 years ago since almost 2000 Marines radiated in a matter of seconds in the Nevada desert I dare say that the vast majority of them have had related disease from that and their children also if you have any feelings for these men, Pass this bill that is coming up. My children concern me for their health care when I bite the bullet. Take care of them at least. ALSO MY GRAND CHILDREN. you have earned that much for my pain and suffering from Various surgeries. H.R.2573..PASS IT Frank
