People have looked more than 1,000 times at the wiki article about H.R. 1475, the Federal Prison Work Incentive Act of 2009.

If you know a little more about the bill than the average person, and you want others to know what you know, you should be editing that wiki article. Here’s how.

Mr.Congressman,
Please pass the H.R. 1475 in favor of the inmates who have served their time peacefully. I’m sure that most of them will never forget what they have done to get them there and now are ready to help their kids and wives get back on their feet. Bringing back the “Good Time served” will save the Goverment money and also the Tax payers like myself! Please help the people that went to prison and served with a good attitude and good work ethics get out and help the economy rebound.

I’m in favor in reducing the sentence of prisoners, especially when they have served so many years already & costing tax payers so much money.

WHAT INCENTIVE DO WE GIVE THESE INMATES TO TURN THEIR LIVES AROUND IF WE DON’T REWARD THEM FOR HAVING GOOD ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOR AND ATTEMPTING LEARN AND GROW FROM THERE MISTAKES.

I think this bill should be passed I also think that a conspiracy is a unconstitutional charge.Examples of people in fci camps one lady rented a house to someone and she thought the might be doing drugs in the house but wasn’t sure.they got caught and because it was her house and she didn’t call the law to have them checked she got charged with conspiricy and is spending 5 years in a camp and never been in trouble. there are other people in there for less than this.I used to think that if you are found guilt or you got scared and plead guilty you probably are guilty. in the federal system that is a bunch of bull. The federal system is a very corrupt system. Please dont think that everyone in federal prison deserves to be there because that is definately not true. Please help pass this bill

I strongly urge you to support H.R.1475 Federal prison work incentive act of 2009 These inmates are doing such long sentences that they get institutionalized in such a negative environment. I don’t see how this has a positive affect in their lives. Shouldn’t inmates be rewarded for making change’s in their lives and behavior while doing their time. Many of them do change their way’s and see no rewards or good time how is this productive for them or society?

I’m in favor of this reduction I believe they should be rewarded especially when they have turned their perspective into a positive one. You have many people behind bars serving sentences who don’t deserve it. There are people facing long term sentences without the possibility of parole. Families have been broken apart & need to be back together. Many children are without parents especially since the rate of imates has driven high over the last decade. We have more parents incarcerated then we do together. How do we expect change when chance is not given. Taking people housing them away does not change anything but the amount the tax payers pay. I agree with the comments I’ve read many prisoners lifes have changed they have realized their mistakes & have payed for them. What is their reward? Why keep them? Give them a chance to live again! Help them make a difference in their childrens lives as well as others. Please pass this bill!
