Soon, you’ll start to see a little counter on each bill page with the number of times that a wiki article has been viewed.

We put it there to measure how many times wiki articles are viewed, and perhaps to encourage potential wiki editors by showing them that a lot of people look there for information. (We suppress the number when it’s low because the last thing we want to do is make it look like nobody cares, right?)

The feature went live at about 5:00 today. One of the most popular bills this week – H.R. 503, The Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act of 2009 – has 25 views already.
