The Deadline for Corporate Tax Returns is March 16

. . . and Congress is thinking of raising the penalty for late filing.

H.R. 1241 would increase the penalty for failure to file a tax returns for a partnership or S corporation.

But it wouldn’t raise the fine by much. Maybe you can skip it again this year and hope you won’t get caught.

If you file for a tax extension, you won’t be charged a late filing penalty at all. Use FileLater (http://filelater.com), and your extension will be e-filed. You’ll get an email confirmation within a day when your extension is approved. It’s easy!
