Returning from a week away, Congress will hear from President Obama this week. He will address a joint session of Congress on Tuesday evening.
The House will debate a bill to fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year. The bill has not been introduced yet, but it will spend about $5,100 per U.S. family. Two weeks ago, our blog noted the call to post the bill online.
The Senate will consider S. 160, the District of Columbia House Voting Rights Act of 2009. It would add two Members to the House of Representatives, one for the District of Columbia and the other assigned to Utah until the next census. Implementing the bill would cost about $0.36 per U.S. family.
