A Swarm of New Laws

Our “Silly Seasonseries of posts featured the laws racing across the House floor in the waning days of Congress’ regular session. Now it’s time to see what bills were passed into law.

Mind you, not all of them are silly. But there’s no reason why Congress couldn’t do its work in a methodical way throughout the year.

The bills range across subjects, and the ones that got a cost estimate (a bit over half) add up to about $140 in spending per U.S. family.

Take a look. See what you like and what you don’t.

Keeping an eye on things - and letting your representatives know what you want - can help get passed what you want passed, and stop what you want stopped.
