December 16, 2010, 7:37am (report abuse)Consumer class is produced by people having jobs and working and spending the money they earn, not by making the rich poor and keeping the poor poor.

December 16, 2010, 11:36am (report abuse)I suppose like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack before it this will be the Democrats cashbox--hiring folksat outrageous salaries who will kick back large sums to the party in the manner of johnson and Raines and Gorelick; paying folks for ballot stuffing and otherwise cheating on the 2012 elections. It is a complete outrage.

December 16, 2010, 1:01pm (report abuse)Absolutely audacious. And in the long term it would change nothing.

December 16, 2010, 1:12pm (report abuse)With that money, they could wipe out the mortgage and credit card debt of everyone in their district. THAT would stimulate the economy.

December 16, 2010, 8:26pm (report abuse)This is for Cleaver's friend who operates the 'business', a home daycare center, out of his home. This is beyond normal congressional patronage; this may be a crime.

December 21, 2010, 6:43am (report abuse)Just another scam to take away from the people who work and follow the rules. Redistributing to "poverty class" will only keep them in poverty. They will have learned nothing. Feed a fish or teach to them to fish to support a lifetime.

February 11, 2011, 4:56am (report abuse)Stimulating the economy, transforming unstable regions into productive ones…Are just a few of the things this project is intended to do. We need jobs and growth. How can you argue with that? And finally, this project is inclusive to everyone, regardless of race, creed and especially color. I think some of the comments I’ve seen in response to our efforts are purely racists and demeaning, and quite frankly, “un-American!” C’mon people…Get on board with this…Our organization is fighting for you…Not misdirected government…Why do you think they don’t really want to fund this? This would shed light on the thousands of “little projects going nowhere” that they do-(self-serving interests).

February 11, 2011, 4:57am (report abuse)Dear readers….
In the midst of what some say are “congressional earmarks go awry,“ our objective and purpose for submitting this project through the earmark process was to once a for all “set the record straight” on what “type of appropriations” lawmakers should consider supporting, rather than what they “had and have been considering.” First, off, this project is expected to create more than a quarter of a million new jobs, lowering unemployment--as well as procurement opportunities for private sector businesses to keep “domestic companies” competitive with foreign interests that are overrunning our country.

Congressman Cleaver is not my friend sir. I’ve never met the man formally. I had attended and commented at a public meeting he held in my community several years ago. I wish and hope you go back to the website(blog site) were that was posted. There were may sites that claimed that and you will probably see where I posted that I do not (I really don’t) know the congressman personally. Nor are there any favors being exchanged for him posting our request by our organization. We submitted the request, we stand by it and that’s that.. As form many of the blog sites that ran the story we have informed the great many that we our attorney is looking into legal action against them. Funny, no of them seem to want to comment about that though….
