Summary

The purpose of this request is to support architectural design and construction of a Las Vegas Emergency Operations Center that is consistent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security goals and objectives. This request is a valuable use of taxpayer funds because it will help establish a comprehensive public safety complex for the county's multiple jurisdictions to perform regional counter-terrorism planning, training and general emergency management activities. This EOC will serve the largest metropolitan area in the state and region.
