Summary
Provide an advance in-water maritime security training program for the Department of Defense. This would be a good use of taxpayer money because it provides mission critical training to Navy divers and other Service customers responsible for securing service assets and maritime domains.

December 16, 2009, 9:08pm (report abuse)Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle was notified today by Congresswoman Ross-Lehtenin's office that under the leadership of Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle the Florida Keys Community College received approval to receive the federal appropriation of $2.4mil for Underwater Instrumentation research and development.

Who could have ever imagined that a small community college could have such a big part in a program like this? It just goes to show what leadership can do and that we do have hidden talents at our community colleges.
