Summary

The Sam Houston State University Regional Crime Laboratory will provide various scientific services to rural law enforcement agencies. The crime lab's primary activities will include: identification of controlled substances, toxicology samples and latent print requests, and will be available to law enforcement agencies within a 75 mile radius of the lab. Funds will be used to finalize the specifications for equipment, to prepare the facility space, to purchase lab equipment, and to hire crime lab personnel such as the lab director and technicians
