Summary

Funds will be used for the reconstruction of the Onancock, VA wastewater treatment system. The existing wastewater treatment system is over 40 years old, is undersized, and is unable to meet current minimum standards for pollutant removal. In addition to serving the Town of Onancock, this system will have the capacity to serve central Accomack County, where poor soils and failing septic systems limit economic development and jeopardize groundwater resources.
