Summary

Additional funding is needed to complete this feasibility study that will lay the groundwork for improvements to restore the Lynnhaven basin water quality. This is a multi-year investigation to improve water quality in a historic and important water source to the Chesapeake Bay. This program would address pollutants in Lynnhaven River, Broad Bay, and Linkhorn Bay Estuary.Last year, for the first time in decades, the health ban on harvesting of oysters from the Lynnhaven Basin was lifted for significant portions of the waters.
