H.R. 5036 would direct the Administrator of General Services to reimburse certain jurisdictions for the costs of obtaining paper ballot voting systems for the general elections for Federal office to be held in November 2008, to reimburse jurisdictions for the costs incurred in conducting audits or hand counting of the results of the general elections for Federal office to be held in November 2008.

This bill is at least something, but it's not enough. Where is the national movement for paper ballots, counted by both parties? Everyone who believes in Democracy must stand up now and demand that all votes be counted with auditable paper trails in November 2008. Both houses of Congress MUST ACT NOW, and we the people must pressure them to do it!
