S. 2413, The Aerial Firefighter Relief Act of 2007 (3 comments ↓)
S. 2413 would provide death and disability benefits for aerial firefighters who work on a contract basis for a public agency and suffer death or disability in the line of duty.

This is a wonderful bill, making aerial firefighters eligible for PSOB benefits. They risk their lives just the same as ground firefighters and should never have been excluded in the first place.

This is a well deserved bill. These guys put their lives on the line everyday to save lives and property just as other fire fighters do. They are honored on Fallen Firefighter memorials all over this country and at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial. It's time they were treated the same.

This is such a well-deserved bill. Aerial firefighters have a hard time buying life insurance for their families. Please help this bill along by contacting your state representatives. Encourage them to read about the Sept. 1 2008 Neptune Aviation Crash.
