I am having to wait over 2 yrs before I am elilable for any medical beneifts. I make $24 too much even for Medicaid. but I can't. I am disabiled. If I had a child in my home under the age of 18, I'd get more money. Hum.. now I see why all those kids are with families that are neglected. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO YOU?
Without medical care, I am only getting worse. This is a crazy policy. Why in the world would someone who is disable have to wait for medical care?
I'd like to see the politians live off a limited income and not have any health care. Do the politians know how hard it is to survive mentally and/or physically with these stipulations.
Who do we need to contact to change this? I have to wait one more full year. Believe me if I could work I would. It would allot less stressful.
PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SITUATION. IT IS HORRIBLE.

Spiky Sandy

As a Social Worker trained to get my clients on Disability for their disabling conditions, having to wait 24 months for Medicare to kick in after the onset date is shameful to working Americans. Those with a poor work history get Medicaid automatically with their Supplemental Security Income (SSI). But, if you are responsible and work hard, you are penalized by being denied necessary medical care to sustain and maintain your life. How can this be possible in America?? Please do the right thing and pass this extremely necessary bill. Consider, too, shortening 10-year implimentation period, so that people don't have to suffer.
