An encouraging bill. It is truly shocking to see how much the second ammendment has been infringed by the term "sporting purposes." Sporting purposes are not what the 2A is about.

With a democratic controlled congress, and a looming victory for democrats in the White House, this bill does not stand a snowball's chance in... But at least someone is making an effort!

Write your representatives and tell them to support this bill. you need to tell them how to vote or they will vote based on their own opinion. Thats not what we pay them for.

And what does it do for people with say one non-violent conviction from 15 years ago to defend their right to live? Absolutely nothing. Seems as though active criminals can still get them, lawful citizens can still get them, the only people disenfranchised are the millions of Americans who made one mistake years ago. The government has told us that even though we are trying to get our rights legally, we have an obligation to die, and/or our friends or loved ones have the obligation to die if we are in mortal danger because we are not allowed to do anything about it. Nice country. I don't remember the 2nd Amendment having a provision stating the right isn't an absolute right.
