H.R. 549, The Teacher Tax Relief Act of 2007 (3 comments ↓)

H.R. 549 would amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to increase, extend, and make permanent the above-the-line deduction for certain expenses of elementary and secondary school teachers.

I vote for this bill. The majority of teachers spend WELL over $250 on supplies for their classrooms a year. I think the dedcution should increase substantially. At mimimum the proposed $400, if not more
