I have been using hearing aids for the past fifty years. Without them I would be totally deaf. I have spent many dollars I could not afford to obtain enough hearing to be able to better communicate and live in the hearing world as a productive person. Many people do not have that ability to pay for hearing aids. I do not think it is fair for Medicare & insurance companies to pay for other prosthetic devices, chairs, wheelchairs, etc., and not have to pay for hearing aids as well. If only the hearing people are getting out to vote, for this bill to be passed, it is no wonder that the bill HR 1912(Hear Act) has not progressed in congress sinceits introduction on1/17/2007.
