March 9, 2013, 1:51pm (report abuse)The hemp plant is basically a miracle plant, and has about as much THC in it as your poppy seed bagel has opium. Due to misinformation and government stubbornness, it's treated like pot, which means that while it's technically not illegal, the DEA has all sorts ridiculous rules around it to keep it so expensive that the average person doesn't want to buy it. You can eat it, wear it, use it for fuel, build houses and cars with it, write on it, etc., but it'll cost you a fortune to do it in the US.
This bill would be a good one to get behind.
