January 10, 2013, 6:45pm (report abuse)The "Origination Clause" in the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 7) requires that taxes be initiated in the House. The Senate took a House bill dealing with veterans and deleted the title and all text, leaving only the bill's number. ObamaCare was then inserted. The Supreme Court characterized the penalties in ObamaCare as federal taxes, but was not asked and did not address the issue of which body of Congress initiated the taxes. The Pacific Legal Foundation has filed a suit (U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia) challenging ObamaCare on this issue. newsandopinions dot net

January 10, 2013, 8:26pm (report abuse)A vote in favor of this bill would be one of the smartest votes our leaders in Congress had voted on in a long time.

May 13, 2013, 11:27am (report abuse)Obamacare was not passed with very little information on the cause and affects of the legislation. There is no transparency and today, little is known as to the actual affects - plus it will not provide healthcare to many people.

May 13, 2013, 3:55pm (report abuse)Apparently you are not informed about what is already happening in health care. Our private health insurance already raised the deductable considerably, hospitals are making dramatic cut backs and not hiring, Dr.'s are known to be retiring, ........ Of course those who are getting the freebee's want to keep it. It's the rest of us paying the taxes for it that are suffering. Get real, get informed, talk with medical people. Or maybe you don't want to know the truth!

May 14, 2013, 8:56pm (report abuse)Obamacare needs to be repealed. look at other countries where government instituted healthcare is in place and you will know that it does more harm all the way around than good. take a look at Germany before the war when healthcare and other issues were dictated to the people. socialism. Is that what you want? I DO NOT. I say repeal this healthcare bill. did anyone forget about the IRS agents being hired to keep tabs on who has it and who does not??

May 14, 2013, 9:59pm (report abuse)Glad to see the House acting on repeal of Obama Care. If it does not get repealed we will see the worst depression this country has ever seen. Whoever thinks Obama Care is working just has not been affected YET but they will be along with all the rest of us. Why do you think both House and Senate members tried to get an exemption from Obama Care? Because they have now had time to read at least enough of the bill to understand what is happening already and what will eventually happen if Obama Care is not repealed.

May 21, 2013, 8:22am (report abuse)Oligarchy or Plutocracy is much worse than Socialiam and Democracy is a myth... Understand that the "Misdirected Public" the House of Representatives depends on to continue it's folly is becoming restless; the Koch conspiracy has been exposed; and implosion is imminent. Are there any limits to the amount of money that will be spent, the vitriolic rhetoric spewed, or overt "RACISM" displayed to make the first Black Presidency deemed a failure?????
