Start out by immediately cutting the veteran compensation payment levels by 25 percent. There is way too much money being thrown down that rat hole. Too many scammers trying to steal from the system.
Then go back and repeal the last 5 years of added conditions attributed to agent orange. This is an unnecessary drain on the economy. I'm not sure anyone even knows how much money is poured into that hog trough every year.
Finally repeal all concurrent receipt. If you get VA compensation you should give up your retirement.

Why is it that someone who retires from the military then retires from the post office can collect both retirements but we can't receive both VA disability and military retirement? You need to go back on the meds that were prescribed to you.

All we are asking is that we get the compensation we earned. If you know anything about this act, it is only restoring the well earned and deserved compensation. Many of us vets live on FIXED incomes and yet we have our VA disability deducted from our retirement pay because we have less than the 50% rated disability Title 10 set as the rule. That is not WHINING.

It was those with this mindset that got us into the possition we are as a country today. These thoughts of "use people up and screw em" has been taught to the generation of tomorrow by lunatics like this. These exact factions are the ones removing God from our country and schools when we need it most. I can vouch for only the vets and service men and women I have met and served with but, this sense of entitlement they speak of doesn't exhist. I too am on a fixed income from the VA and just want to live my life peacefully with dignity and respect for others (that deserve it). as far as the "Restoration act" well.. it is just that. an act to restore a promiss, and faith in a system that was otherwise broken. This great country spends over $13 billion dollars each and every year supporting the illegal aliens in this country. The Retired Pay Restoration Act will only cost the government and tax payers $2.89 billion a year. Now I ask you, are we putting the illegal aliens ahead of the veterans that served and earned their compensation.
