April 6, 2012, 11:40pm (report abuse)STOP THESE VETERAN WELFARE PROGRAMS NOW!
In a time when everyone else is being told to tighten their belts and cut spending the veteran welfare program is asking for a 10.5 percent INCREASE in their budget. That is pure and simple BULL$HIT!
It is far beyond time to put a stop to all this and cut these veteran welfare programs back.
There is no reason for this kind of crap. These whining freeloaders are simply scamming the rest of us for everything they can get.
Tell your legislator you are tired of paying veteran welfare. Tell them to VOTE NO!

June 5, 2012, 12:21am (report abuse)Hey all you fine taxpayers. You remember that you bought me that new bass boat last year? I sure am having a good time with my new toy. But now I need a new pickup to pull it with. My old one looks kinda shabby next to that new boat. So all of you get hold of your senators and congressfolk and tell them to pass this bill most ricky-tick.
Like I said before - keep sending me those checks and I'll take every raise you want to give me. I love it.
YEP!
July 2, 2012, 11:14pm (report abuse)Why? Because I'm willing to say just what I am going to do with the money? I believe in telling it just like it is. If I get a raise in my retirement and my VA check I am going to buy a new truck. And the way I will get that raise is from the taxpayers.
Just because some are hypocrites and don't want those paying the bill to know doesn't mean they don't deserve to know.
I'll say it again - all you taxpayers need to support this so I can get that new truck to pull my boat.
Keep sending those raises and I'll keep spending them.

It is far beyond time to put a stop to all this and cut the veteran welfare programs back to more reasonable levels.

July 10, 2012, 2:18am (report abuse)Hey all you fine taxpayers.
I want to thank you for pushing your representatives to pass HR- 4114, which they did on July 9. This gives me hope that I can buy that new truck to pull that new boat you helped me buy last year.
Now there are some hypocrites out there who don't think I should be talking about how I will spend the raise you give me in my military retirement check and my VA check. But I believe in telling it just like it is and when I get that raise in my military retirement check and my VA check I am going to buy that new truck to pull that new boat.
Now remember, the only way I will get that raise is from you taxpayers. So be sure to tell your senators to get busy on this bill, S-2259 which also has to be passed so I will get that raise.
Keep sending those raises and I'll keep spending them. I love it.

(logged-in user) July 10, 2012, 10:30pm (report abuse)I will also benefit from this if it is made a law. I won't be buying a boat or truck but I will buy some kind of new toy for sure.
I guess it's ok to tell those who pay the bills just what they are paying for.

July 14, 2012, 7:42pm (report abuse)Hey there all you fine taxpayers.
I hope you are putting the pressure on your senators to get this bill passed so I can get those raises in my military retirement check and my VA check. At least the social security raise will be automatic.
This is the only way I can afford to buy that new pickup to pull my bass boat with.
Keep sending those raises and I'll keep spending them. I love it.

July 27, 2012, 11:54pm (report abuse)Hey there all you fine American taxpayers.
I want to make sure you are putting the pressure on your senators to get either their bill, S. 2259, passed too or tell them to pass th one that was passed and sent over to them from the House, H.R. 4114.
It's really important fo me to get those raises in my military retirement check and my VA check. That's the only way I will be able to buy that new pickup to pull that bass boat you all bought for me with last year's raise.
Keep sending those raises and I'll keep spending them. I love it.

September 17, 2012, 12:48pm (report abuse)Hey there all you fine American taxpayers, it's me again.
Thanks for your help in getting the House to pass H.R.4114. I want to ask you to put the pressure on your senators to get either their bill, S. 2259, passed too or tell them to take up and pass H.R. 4114, the one that was passed and sent over to them from the House.
It's really important fo me to get those raises in my military retirement check and my VA check. That's the only way I will be able to buy that new pickup to pull that bass boat you all bought for me with last year's raise. It sure is a shame to see me going to the lake with that old truck pulling that shiny new boat.
Keep sending those raises and I'll keep spending them. I love it.

September 17, 2012, 9:41pm (report abuse)I would have been all for it if they would clean up the system. I know several people collecting compensation that have never seen a war zone. These same people then go on to collect social security. You explain to me how someone who spends three years and gets discharged for alcoholism is entitled to $40,000+ a year of the tax payer's money and free medical! I don't have a problem paying for those who sacrificed, I have a problem paying for those who exaggerate in order to obtain benefits. They can say that this doesn't happen all they want, but any person with a little common sense that has been around these type of people knows that it happens much more often than most will admit!

September 25, 2012, 12:35am (report abuse)Just how much money would you take to lose both legs & have a huge chunk of your arm missing.
Judy what is YOUR freedom worth? Well my husband sacrificed for your crying lazy azzes so suck it up sunshines. You don't pay him enough for what he's lost & will never get back. No dancing at his daughters wedding. No running & playing ball with his boys. No dancing with his wife or going for a walk hand in hand or arm & arm.
A bunch of jerks that want to reap the benefits of freedom but complaign about what the bottom dollar is.
@FedUpWithYourWhining
September 26, 2012, 11:23am (report abuse)Your husband sacrificed for my, or anyone else's, freedom? Just where in Iraq or Afghanistan did he find someone who was threatening my freedom? Or perhaps he is one of those worn out losers from Vietnam? Even worse.
BULL$HIT!
Your husband has done nothing for me or any other citizen. Name one good thing that this country has that came from your husband's time in the military. You can't because nothing has.
You know it's all just a pity party on your part and nothing more.
All YOU want is somebody to pay for your sorry lazy @ss.

That's the only way I will be able to buy that new pickup to pull that bass boat you all bought for me with last year's raise. It sure is a shame to see me going to the lake with that four year old truck pulling that shiny new boat. I'm betting you would like to see me driving a new truck instead. Too bad you can't afford one too.
We won't get a big raise this year - only 1.7%. That won't make the whole payment on my new truck to pull my new bass boat. But it sure will help.
Keep sending those raises and I'll keep spending them. I love it.

October 25, 2012, 12:19am (report abuse)Here's something that should be of concern to everyone. There are only 16 more legislative days scheduled for rest of year. Anything not passed by both houses by the end of the session dies. It certainly does not look good for this bill this session.

November 16, 2012, 10:27pm (report abuse)HEY HEY HEY!
Thanks to all you fine taxpayers for the raise. I will get a total raise of $125.00 from the VA, military retirement and social security this year. That won't make the whole payment on that new pickup truck but it sure will make a big dent in it.
I'm sure all of you fine folks who are paying the bill will be proud to see me pulling that new bass boat you all bought for me last year with my new pickup. I know I sure will enjoy it.
Keep sending those raises and I'll keep spending them. I love it.

November 29, 2012, 4:05pm (report abuse)Tell me, you whiners, just how much money would you take to lose a leg? How about both legs? Now let's take one of you arms or the mobility of your only way to get around in the future?
No amount of government / taxpayer money will ever be enough to pay back what these guys lost? Besides, they fought for you to have the freedom to bitch about it. Suck it up you bunch of babies.

December 12, 2012, 2:45pm (report abuse)To think the people that the benefits are for are the ones that became disabled for fighting for your freedoms. And sounds like some of you begrudge them? Wow, is all I can say. Thank you Vets now and forever my respect.
