July 21, 2012, 1:37pm (report abuse)If any congress critter or other government functionary would like to see private citizens better prepared for disaster then they should start by insisting that the federal government take less of our money each April. Electing 'tax and spend' politicians like this one does nothing to enable the average citizen to live his or her life as well or as safely as he or she could and in fact makes more of us ever more dependent upon the largess of these politicians in their redistribution of taxpayer funds.
