June 15, 2009, 5:35pm (report abuse)please continue to do all you can to rally support for s-889. i am so happy to hear that bob casey and arlen specter put this bill forward. we need our local farms. pay a little now or a lot later- if our family farms fold we will be dependent on mega farms supplying our milk and higher costs associated with shipping. BUY AND SUPPORT LOCAL!

June 30, 2009, 10:49am (report abuse)This is looking to be a good thing for the current US dairy market. Somthing that all farm FAMILIES need to rally behind and support. Contact your district representative and let them know where you stand!

August 12, 2009, 1:24pm (report abuse)Everyone and every family should be in favor of keeping small farms in business. To rely on mega-farms is not good for food production and puts the safety of our foods and drinks in jeapordy, as an entire country. This is not an issue for farmers, this is an issue for Americans.
