"Law abiding citizens" who go through the registration and finger-printing process to carry a concealed weapon are NOT the ones who pose threats to people. It is the people who DO NOT go through that process who are likely to kill. Our 2nd Amendment RIGHT TO BEAR FIREARMS should be protected at all costs.

Look at the makeup of the Senate Judiciary Committee. This bill is DOA. Those hoplophobes will never let this bill be heard in committee much less pass to the full Senate for a vote.

CCW holders are among the most law abiding people in the country. This has been stated in FBI and Justice Dept. studies. Their permits should be honored in any state just like a state issued drivers license.

How about changing the wording to 'Any person who is not prohibited to own a firearm, and who has been issued a concealed carry permit under the laws of any state, is allowed to carry a concealed firearm in any state that issues concealed carry permits, subject to the concealed carry laws of that state.' Now THAT would be a law worth passing.
